A Wedding in Fairytale

When I received the invitation from my cousin for her wedding in Tasmania, Australia, I was quite confused about why they chose such a far away country, such a far away island for the most important ceremony in their life. However, not until I arrived at Silver Creek Hotel and Spa did I realized what a wonderful choice they had made!
The snow in Cradle Mountain is so amazing that when I saw my cousin standing in the silver world in her snow white wedding dress, my eyes told me that I was witnessing a wedding in a fairytale. Having a wedding in such a beautiful snow world is definitely a dream for every woman since they were small girls.
Also, I was amazed by how well organized the wedding was. At the wedding, I met a lot of our relatives and old friends that I haven't seen for decades. Since our family moved out of mainland China in the 1950s, our friends and family members have scattered all over the earth. However, our grandma told us that it was her first time to experience such a large scaled reunion of our family and old friends in all these years. I asked my cousin how she could contact so many friends and relatives while preparing such a complicated wedding. She told me that actually it is the Silver Creek Hotel that managed most of the work. She did not really spend a lot of time worrying about the wedding because Silver Creek has special managers to make plans and implement them for the wedding.
When I was enjoy the happiness of the wedding and the reunion of my family, I began to consider to host my wedding in Silver Creek next year too. It is really not easy to find such a beautiful place to host such a large scale and complicated wedding in today's world!

Guaranteed Suite Dreams!!

My wife and I chose to stay at the Silver Creek Hotel and Spa on our most recent visit to Cradle Mountain. I could not have asked for a more luxurious hotel to come back to after our long days of vacationing, or a more accommodating and professional staff, for that matter. Upon entering our suite, the first thing that caught our eye was the beautifully furnished sitting room that was adjacent to our more than spacious bedroom. I can honestly say that I can't remember having a better night's sleep than the one that I experienced on their king sized Tempurpedic mattress.

One night instead of dining out, we took full advantage of their room service which has a five star kitchen that my wife had heard raves about. I ordered their prime rib and highly recommend it! We were also able to spend some time by their gorgeous indoor, heated pool facility, one could not ask for a more relaxing experience. My wife also enjoyed a number of their spa packages (unfortunately for my American Express!). Silver Creek offered the best service at the best price and really took our vacation well beyond our expectations.

5-Star Service

It was disappointing to discover that my children had outgrown their ski jackets after arriving at Silver Creek Hotel and Spa this March. Yet, the staff at Silver Creek had the perfect solution for my family's needs. Craig, the employee helping my children and me, was incredibly helpful in directing us to a mini-satellite Apex Apparel store located right within the hotel's lobby. It was convenient to find ski apparel being sold at the resort instead of having to travel back into town for proper winter clothing. Due to Silver Creek's exceptional personalize customer service I can always count on being taken care of during my annuals vacations at the resort.

The Rustic Steakhouse- Fine Dining at its Best

The Rustic Steakhouse is nothing but 5-Star cuisine and service. The menu primarily features traditional Australian cuisine but has familiar favorites for the less daring. The atmosphere of the restaurant is natural and relaxing featuring beautiful views of nearby Cradle Mountain. From the moment my family and I walked in we were instantly taken care of. The concierge promptly seated us at our table and the waiter was more than willing to explain any of the unknown dishes. During our experience we were able to try Damper, a traditional non yeast bread, along with many dishes featuring crustaceans from the nearby Tasmanian shores. The dessert course featured Lamingtons, a chocolate sponge cake with coconut, and Pavlova, a meringue and fruit desert originally meant to celebrate a visit from Anna Pavlova. The Rustic Steakhouse even features a Cradle Club Kids Menu to keep the children entertained as the adults dine on delicious cuisine. The entire experience was relaxing and delicious, one I will definitely be repeating in the near future.

Lamington Dessert. It was delectable.

Skiing around the Silver Creek Hotel and Spa

For you vacationing skiers who are looking for a challenge, this short video shows you some of the more difficult slopes accessible from the Silver Creek Hotel and Spa. It's really beautiful there! I loved my trip. Not only were the slopes awesome, but the hotel was amazing. After a long day of skiing it was great to come back and take in a massage or relax at the bar. They have amenities for everyone. My husband and I were able to relax while our kids were enjoying playing with other kids in the daycare center. I highly suggest staying there for anyone. It's beautiful, accomodating, and affordable.
